Scott Hull Master Engineer Finalizes Alexandra Kay’s Debut Single “No More”
Scott E. Hull mastering engineer based in New York City, and the owner of Masterdisk, finalizes Alexandra Kay’s debut single “No More.”
When Nettwork Entertainment CEO, Anakin Swain, started to produce Alexandra Kay’s single “No More,” he made up his mind that he wasn’t going to settle for average. Swain immediately reached out to friends and started his search to find the most-talented engineer with experience mastering mass-market music.
With over 25 years of experience mastering music, Scott Hull immediately stood out. Under Hull’s direction, Masterdisk has engineered top-selling albums by artists including Bruce Springsteen, Nirvana, Kid Rock, Steely Dan, Madonna, Whitney Houston, John Mayer, Smashing Pumpkins, The Rolling Stones, Jay-Z, Pearl Jam, The White Stripes, Santana, Phil Collins, Lenny Kravitz, the Beastie Boys, Elvis Costello, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Public Enemy, Prince, The Who, Talking Heads, and David Bowie. While Hull’s extensive resume amazed Swain, it wasn’t until he fully understood Hull’s enthusiasm for making great music that he knew he wanted him on Kay’s single.
Swain explains, “I see the creation of music as an artform that requires passionate individuals in all stages of the development process in order to make a great final product. After watching Alexandra pour her heart and soul into this single, I wasn’t going to let her down with lousy post production work. I reached out to Scott because he’s an innovator that truly loves to make great music. Alexandra’s single wasn’t just a job for Scott, it was another piece of artwork that he wanted to perfect.”
Alexandra Kay’s highly anticipated debut single “No More” is currently growing on radio stations across the United States and is set to be released to all major digital music retailers on October 18th, 2013.
